Esther is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). Originally from Kenya, she relocated to the United States at age 18 to pursue her education. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri–St. Louis in 2011. Esther completed a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Leadership in Healthcare Systems from Grand Canyon University in 2015. She later earned a second Master of Science in Nursing in 2025, specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health, from Frontier Nursing University.

Esther aims to deliver comprehensive mental health care services grounded in the latest research while honoring the unique cultural values and social determinants that influence mental health in Hawaiʻi. Esther works with patients across the lifespan, incorporating therapeutic interventions, psychopharmacology, and motivational interviewing to address conditions such as trauma, substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, ADHD, eating disorders, and neurocognitive disorders.

Outside of work, Esther is raising three boys. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, and walking along the beach. She is an avid reader and enjoys cooking, and as someone with a sweet tooth, she loves exploring local restaurants for new dessert experiences.
