Yes — all three, with a few rules set by Hawaii law that we follow carefully. In-person visits are available at our Honolulu and Hilo offices. Telehealth (video) visits are available for mental-health care from your very first visit — Hawaii law allows us to establish care by telehealth, but a regular phone call does not qualify, so a first telehealth visit is always live video (Haw. Rev. Stat. §453-1.3). Audio-only (phone) visits are available for established mental-health patients when video is not possible: Hawaii law requires a video or in-person visit within the 6 months before your first phone-only visit and within the 12 months before any later one (Haw. Rev. Stat. §431:10A-116.3). If your plan is Hawaii Medicaid (QUEST), phone visits are limited to mental-health care at home and require an in-person visit within 6 months before the first phone visit and at least every 12 months after (Med-QUEST memo QI-2527). For primary care, every new patient is seen in office for the first visit — our clinical policy — with telehealth available for many follow-ups.
