
Shyretha Johnson, PMHNP-BC is a board certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who earned a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Austin. Her experience includes treating people with depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and trauma-related disorders. Shyretha values a collaborative approach to treatment planning that is based on respect for the unique life experiences, culture, values, and needs of each patient. She incorporates medication management, brief psychotherapy, and holistic methods to improve well-being.
Shyretha moved to Hawai’i with a desire to experience the culture and learn about community needs. She has a special interest in serving communities that face barriers to quality psychiatric care. Having grown up in an underserved community, Shyretha understands firsthand how barriers to mental health care can impact individuals, families, and entire communities. As a provider, Shyretha is passionate about expanding access to mental health services for those who need it most.
In addition to hiking, traveling, and collecting sneakers, Shyretha has discovered a love of surfing.
