At this time we only offer telehealth visits, which are conducted over video. We do not offer visits through phone calls only. We connect with you over video through Doxy.me which is a HIPAA compliant platform.

We provide brief counseling within your medication management visit. However if you are looking solely for counseling/therapy, we recommend that you seek out a licensed therapist. We can refer you, or you can search the database on the Psychology Today website to find a therapist that meets your needs.

Are Nurse Practitioners allowed to diagnose and prescribe medications to treat psychiatric disorders in the state of Hawaii?2023-03-15T17:20:47+00:00

Yes. Hawaii allows Nurse Practitioners to practice, diagnose and prescribe medications according to their expertise and training. All of the providers at OhanaPsych are licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners.

How do I get prescriptions after my telehealth visit?2023-03-15T17:21:38+00:00

Your provider will send prescriptions electronically to your pharmacy at the end of your telehealth visit. We follow all federal and state guidelines regarding this process.
